Linen, the oldest fabric known to man.

considered one of the most biodegradable textiles on Earth, linen...

protects the skin from ultra violet rays, is mold & moth resistant, evaporates water and absorbs sweat, is naturally antibacterial and fungicidal, quick drying, and is sensitive skin safe.

Linen is the oldest textile known to man, playing a crucial role in the ancient world. Some evidence from a cave in Georgia suggest its usage as far back as 34,000 years ago.

The oldest woven garment, the "Tarkhan Dress" was excavated in Egypt in 1913 from the Tarkhan cemetery south of Cairo. It is over 5,000 years old.

Linen is made using the flax plant. By weaving the cellulose fibers that grow inside of the stalks, a sturdy and breathable textile is created.

Flax requires fewer resources to grow compared to other fabrics, and can grow easily in poor soil - actually helping to rehabilitate polluted soil. Flax plants are naturally resistant to pests, so tend to require little to no pesticide use. Linen is completed biodegradable, and will decompose naturally.
